The Toggenburg family

The first written reference to the Counts Von Toggenburg dates back almost 1000 years to the year 1044. The journey through turbulent times, through historic and cultural change has imbued the family with a great sense of tradition. For generations the family has been closely linked to agriculture and the concept of ‘life’ that is associated with this sector.

Today Count Ulrich manages the family’s orchard farm in South Tyrol and Count Eberhard runs the wine estate Poggio Rozzi in Tuscany. Their shared belief in the family’s philosophy on life influences their methods of management and these methods, combined with consistency and patience, create extraordinary products.
